On behalf of my Father (Al Hammond) I’d like to express our deepest condolences. My Father is very ill, and would love to be able to share some of his stories about Coonie. He cut Coonie’s hair for many years, and they grew to be the best of friends. My Father was devastated Sunday morning when we read in the paper of Coonie’s passing. He loved him very much. I saw Coonie this past summer at my Father s home when he came by to get his regular hair cut. He gave us each a rock or two, a few bumper stickers (one I keep on my desk here at home), and he even gave us each a hat.

Coonie recently came by to visit my Father. He sat with him all afternoon, and re-told many of the stories that they have told many times. He enjoyed his visits very much, and always looked forward to his next visit.

Coonie was very special to my Father…. He was loved very much, and will be missed.

I have fond memories of working for Mr. Coyle 21 years ago when I was 18 and just out of high school. I still tell people that even though I only worked for him for a short time, it is still one of my favorite jobs to have worked.
Two years later while living in Albuquerque I was driving my vehicle a little over the speed limit on my way to work as I was running late. An hour later while at work, one of my police officer friends stopped by and said that he had gone to pull me over earlier, but saw my "I Love Explosives" bumper sticker. He immediately knew that it was me and continued on.

It was such a pleasure knowing Coonie these many years. He was always so happy and friendly. My impression of him the first time I met him and always was, was that he was a "mighty, mighty man ". He was interesting, funny and just had so many wonderful attributes. He will be greatly missed from this earth, but just listen to the Angels sing. God Bless You All! Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love in Christ, Henry & Judy
