Funeral services for Jo Rogers Sturdivant of Hobbs will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.

Pastor Ty Bean will officiate. Burial will follow after services at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday noon - 6 p.m. at Chapel of Hope which is in charge of arrangements.

Sturdivant, 81, died Monday, March 1, 2010, at Vista Care Hospice in Lubbock, Texas. She was born August 16, 1928, in Evant, Texas.

She married her first husband, Jack Rogers in 1943 in Texas and he died in 1994. She married her second husband Leonard Sturdivant in 1996.

Jo had been a resident of Hobbs for more than 60 years. She loved to dance.

Survivors include her son DeWayne Rogers and wife Beverly of Naples, Florida; two daughters, Carol Woolbright and husband Dr. Thomas Woolbright of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Sandi Keeney and husband Earl of Hobbs; grandchildren Joel, Jackie, Joanna, Michael and Brent Rogers, Blake and Benjamin Woolbright, LeeAnn Cooper, Steven Barnes and Heather Keeney; great-grandchildren Kimber Ramsey, who was a special joy to Jo, and Ryan and Caige Barnes.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one brother and three sisters.
