Graveside services for Juan Garrett Ray Carrasco of Hobbs will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 1, 2010, at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Luis Ruiz will officiate.

Visitation will be Monday, March 1, from 9:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Carrasco, six months and six days old, died February 25, 2010, at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He was born August 20, 2009, in Hobbs.

Baby Juan was a fighter and very strong. He touched the lives of all who came in contact with him and brightened the lives of many.

Survivors include his mother Priscilla Carrasco, Garrett Smith of Hobbs; uncle Angel Ray Castillo of Hobbs; aunt Angela Castillo of Hobbs; and grandfather Pedro Fuentez of Hobbs.

Juan was preceded in death by brother Rahiem Heredia and grandmother Nellie Heredia.
