Linda Darlene Gideon
May 10, 1952 - June 9, 2012

Linda Darlene (Grimes) Gideon, 60, of Maljamar joined Christ June 9th, 2012.
Linda started life, May 10th, 1952, born the newest daughter of Clyde & Juanita Grimes. After graduation at Ranger High School in 1970 she began wedded bliss, with William Stephen (Bill) Gideon, on May 5th, 1971. Linda and Bill shared their years in Ranger, TX, Graham, TX and Hobbs before settling down in Maljamar, where she opened her own cafe, Linda’s Grill. Because of Linda’s zest for life, and her abundance of love, relationships flowered from customer to friend daily. Her café was a focal point in her daily life, and she loved her café and each and every person that came through the door.
Visitation will be 12 – 7 p.m. with the family greeting friends from 5:00 -7:00 PM Tuesday at the Chapel of Hope Funeral Home and services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, June 13, 2012, in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hobbs with Bishop G. David Camp officiating, and she will be laid to rest in Prairie Haven Cemetery, directed by Chapel of Hope Funeral Home of Hobbs.
Pallbearers will be Josh Barker, Blaine Paul, Cody Arsbon, Donnie Harp, Doug Ratliff, Mark Teel, with honorary pallbearers being Nathan Condon, Jacob Flack, Anthony Castillo, Christopher Castillo and Espen Gideon.
Preceding her in her journey to Heaven, were her mother & father, Juanita Lee and Clyde H. Grimes; her grandparents, Lee Emmett and Bernice Earl Garrett and a host of relatives and friends who have been waiting on her arrival.
Survivors include her husband, William Stephen (Bill) Gideon of Maljamar; two daughters and their spouses, Melissa Denise & Tony Arsbon of Hobbs and Belinda Kay & Jeffrey McGilvery of Nampa, ID; two sons and their spouses, Billy Steve & Pauline Gideon of Hobbs and William Cody & Stella Gideon of Rockville, MD; two sisters and their spouses, Judy Ann & James Swan of Graham, TX, Barbara Kay & Zack Everett of College Station, TX; two brothers and their spouses, Clyde Alan & Cathy Grimes of Vernon, CT, and Terry Lee & Sharon Grimes of Rockdale, TX; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
