Carolyn Kay Robertson, age 83, was born January 8th, 1936 to Chester and Doris Goble in Monument, Kansas. She went to her eternal Heavenly home on January 28th in Hobbs, New Mexico. She met Bob Robertson in Liberal, Kansas in 1958, shortly after his army discharge. They were married in Hobbs on October 3rd, 1958. Carolyn was a home-maker and was employed part-time as a teacher’s aid of the Hobbs school system. She was a Godly wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her strong Christian faith was an anchor for all of her family. She taught 6th grade Sunday school girls for over 20 years at Northside Baptist Church (now Crosswinds Church). She was blessed with a beautiful Soprano and Alto voice. She sang in the church choir as well as at weddings and funerals. She liked gospel and some country western music, her favorite was Marty Robbins. She was a member of the Roadrunner Antique Car Club. Her priorities in life were God, family, and friends. She is survived by Bob Robertson, her husband of 60 years. Their children are Cindy Lindsay (Robert), and Grady Robertson, both of Hobbs, NM and Patti Schulte (Mark) of Charlotte, NC. Her grandchildren are Christie Robertson, Grady Robertson II, Rheana Clinton (Chris), Hannah Dockery (Brandon), and Kalem Robertson. Her great-grandchildren are Taylor Robertson and Landon Cummins-Zembas. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters. She is survived by her sister, Sheryl Place, of Hastings, Nebraska.

Bob, Cindy, Grady, Patty and family: I am so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. I know from my conversations with Bob these last years have been a real struggle for her. I only knew her through my conversations with you. And that leads me to know that she was a wonderful lady, a loving wife and mother.
