Albert Hall

November 10, 1924 — February 24, 2022

Funeral services for Albert Darrell (A.D.) Hall, 97, of Hobbs will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Chapel of Hope, 3321 N. Dal Paso in Hobbs with Pastor Gary Williamson officiating. Darrel went to be with his forever love on February 24, 2022 at Hendrick Hospice Center in Abilene, TX.  November 10, 1924 was the joyous day that Darrell was born into this world by Faye Carpenter and Henry Hall in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Darrell was always a hard worker and took pride in what he did. He entered the Army at a young age and fought in World War II. He was a member of the 29th Infantry. His journey in the Army was not a long one but was full of action. Darrell stormed the beaches of Normandy at Omaha on June 6, 1944. Shortly after making it past the beach he was injured and was medically discharged.

Darrell and Onieda were married after his return from service on November 30, 1944 and were together through thick and thin until her passing. After returning home from the War, most of his career was spent with Bulldog and Star Tool. He took pride in his family and could always be counted on to have a Dr. Pepper and some sort of junk food stashed away for the grandkids.

Darrell is survived by his son Keith Hall and wife Carla of Breckenridge, TX; daughter Donna Pettigrew and husband Donald of College Station, TX; granddaughters Judy Taylor and Christina Lowe of College Station, TX; Jessica Hall of Breckenridge, TX; Rachel Patterson and husband Michael of Abilene, TX; Grandson Donald Higgins and wife Tonya of Hobbs. He also had great-grand children Alexander Taylor and wife Sonya, Mitchell Taylor and wife Bethany, Aaron Higgins and wife Viviana, Caleb Goins and girlfriend Peggy Gabriel, Faith Blackwell and husband Nathan, William Hall and wife Rachel, Marcus Foreman, Samuel Higgins, Ayden Patterson, Katrina Higgins and Grace Patterson. He also had 6 great-great grandchildren.
