Alfred L. Alexander Jr. was born to Alfred and Mae Pearl Alexander on April 9, 1957, in Fairfield, Tx. He was the second eldest of seven children. Alfred met Brenda Moore in Jal, NM and the two would marry on June 7, 1980. They would have two children, LaDonna and Alfred Q. Alexander.

He was a dedicated employee of DCP Midstream for over 25 years. He also faithfully served the Texas Northwest District as a Pastor of Holy Light Church of God in Christ and Superintendent of the San Angelo District in West Texas. Alfred enjoyed family, preaching, teaching and fishing. He loved his family passionately and unconditionally. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, and a true warrior for Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father Alfred L. Alexander Sr., his mother Mae Pearl Alexander and his Sister JoAnn Nix. He is survived by his wife Brenda C. Alexander, son Alfred Q. Alexander and wife Angeline of Hobbs NM, daughter LaDonna Robinson and husband Jerry of Kermit, Tx, daughter Stephanie Leno and husband Donald of Nacogdoches, Tx. Three brothers Billy I. Alexander and wife Earlease of Colorado, Donald A. Alexander of Dallas, TX, and Calvin Solomon of Dumas, TX. Five grandchildren Andre Covington of Hobbs, NM, KaShemeya Shankle and son J’Kaydence Shankle of Lufkin, Tx, Jakeleion Sanders and Zaraylon Leno of Nacogdoches, Tx, and Belhamy Robinson of Kermit, Tx, and numerous nieces and nephews.
