Tinx Goodwin, 88 passed away on January 23rd, 2021 of natural causes in her home being cared for by her family and wonderful caregivers, Kacie and Caroline.

Tinx was born in Channing, TX on February 7th, 1932 to “Pat” and “Billie” Edwards. She had two brothers and two sisters. In High School, she played basketball and helped with the newspaper. She later went to West Texas State University in Canyon, Tx where she met Al Goodwin. She took one look at him and said, “That’s the man I’m going to marry!”.  They were married on June 19th, 1950.  Al And Tinx shared their love for over 61 years, until Al passed away in 2011.

They had two children, Connie, and David.  After living in Amarillo, they moved to Hobbs in 1956, where Al worked for Watson Truck and Supply until he retired. Tinx set about making and keeping an immaculate and beautiful home for her family, as well as keep up with her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband Al, her father and mother, brothers; Sonny and Dale, sister; Opal, and grandson Jeremy.

Survivors include, daughter; Connie Rinehart of Hobbs, NM, son; David (Dianna) Goodwin of Hobbs, NM, sister; Flo (Bill) Plummer, sister-in-law; Betty Edwards, grandchildren;  Nicholas (Gallie) Goulet of Hobbs, NM, Jeffery Goulet of Lubbock, TX, Heather (Ronny)Alexander of Hobbs, NM, Brandi (Richard) Troyer of Midland, TX, Scott (Becky) Lynskey of Hobbs, NM, great-grandchildren;  Emily Goulet, Bailey, Peyton, and Jordan Alexander, Bennett and Tinsley Troyer, Logan and Morgan Lynskey, as well as other members of the extended family.

Due to Covid restrictions, Memorials will be set on a later date.

Memorials may be made in honor of Tinx Goodwin to the charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to express appreciation to the Kindred Hospice staff for their invaluable support during this difficult time of letting go of a loved one. (1515 West Calle Sur St. Suite 129 Hobbs, NM 88240)
