Anderson Rall

Anderson Amos Ra1l, 91, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Desert Gardens Assisted Living in Hobbs, New Mexico. Amos was born September 26, 1921 to Aaron and Earlie Pledger Rall in Morrilton, Arkansas. He is the oldest of 11 children.
Amos served in the US Army Air Force in WWII from 1942 1946. He met his beautiful bride, Geraldine Gerrie Yvonne Hendley, during the war and they married in 1944 in Sebring, Florida. They moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1949, where Amos attended the US Trade School on the GI bill. In 1950, Amos and Gerrie moved to Hobbs, New Mexico where they still reside. Amos was a certified transmission mechanic and was employed by Watson Truck and Supply for 26 years until his retirement.
Amos loved to sing, fish, play dominoes, spades and working on cars. Amos was passionate about his relationship with the Lord and served as a song leader for several decades. He also served as a deacon for Jefferson Street Church of Christ where he coordinated the works of personal evangelism, World Bible School and also taught bible classes.
Amos is survived by his wife, Gerrie son Keith Rall and wife Dorothy daughter, Lynnette Rall daughter Annette Rall Dingle grandchildren, Bryan Amos Dingle, Erin Rall brother, Charles Rall sisters, Zepherine Rall Tilford, Alpha Lee Rall, Jane Rall Campbell and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Amos was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Grace Rall Kimes, Ellis Rall, John Franklin Rall, Aaron Rall Jr, Cory Lee Rall, Gladys Rall, his daughter Kerrie Jean Rall.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at the Jefferson St. Church of Christ at 10:00 am with Clay Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm on Monday, October 1, 2012 at Chapel of Home Funeral Home in Hobbs, New Mexico. Amos will be in state Monday 10:00 a.m. 7 p.m. Services are under the direction of Chapel of Hope. Memorials can be made to World Bible School care of Jefferson Street Church of Christ, 1526 N. Jefferson, Hobbs, New Mexico.
