Arthur Cox

Arthur William "Willie" Cox was born on May 27th, 1927 to George Amos Sidney Cox and Mattie Belle Cox, in Waldron, Arkansas. He passed from this life at his home of 61 years, on March 12th, 2019. He married Doris Elizabeth Holland on January 8th, 1949. They had 67 years, 11 months, and 10 days of a very blessed marriage.

He is survived in life by his five children; Amos Cox (and wife Glenda) of Hobbs, NM; Mildred Smiley (and husband James) of Eunice, NM; Joyce Anderson of Pauls Valley, OK; Arthur Wayne Cox (and wife Carla) of Eunice, NM; Carla McNeil (and husband Michael) of Eunice, NM. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; Shane Brister, Norman Smiley, Kristy Conley, Chester Anderson, Keith Anderson, Abigail Weeks, Sarah Reed, Anna Wilcher, Ben Anderson, Jarod Cox, Ryan Cox, Derek Cox, Jacob Perryman, Melodie Kosiba, Jessica Hall, and Aaron McNeil in addition to 43 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren, along with a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by a loving wife, Doris Cox, two infants; Elizabeth Ann and Joel Ray; 5 brothers, 1 sister, 1 son-in-law, and 1 great granddaughter.
