Arvin Spalding

Arvin Spalding, 68, beloved Husband, Father, Papaw and Friend to all, accomplished his lifetime goal on February 16, 2021, by remaining faithful to God until death. He entered this world on July 25, 1952 in Hamlin, TX, born to Aubrey and Joy Spalding.

He is preceded in death by his son, Leland Spalding, parents, Aubrey and Joy Spalding, a brother, Larry Gene, and sister, Linda Clemmer.

He is survived by his wife Dorcas Spalding, daughters Ranette Spalding and Radeena Spalding, son Randall Spalding and wife Lorenda, all of Hobbs NM. His grandchildren, Haley Burnett and husband Trevor of Cunningham, KY, Alyssa Spalding and Chance Spalding both of Hobbs, NM. Brothers, Doug Spalding and wife Bobbye, James Spalding and wife Valisa Spalding, Ted Spalding, and one sister, Polly Houghton and husband Jearl, all of Hamlin, TX. Brother, Joe Spalding and wife Gaytha of Cunningham, KY. He also had a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Arvin was a gentle giant that loved to hunt, fish and camp. He was a man of few words, yet could tell a story like no one else.  He loved God and church above all else, and made this apparent by his faithful attendance to church and eagerness to stand to his feet and give a testimony about the greatness and compassion of God.
