B. Sorrell

B.W.,92, died Sept. 21, 2022, at Landmark Desert Gardens in Hobbs. He was born July 22, 1930, in Bexar County, Texas. He was married to his wife, Betty, for 58 years, until her death in 2008.

He had numerous jobs during his life mostly in the bookkeeping profession. He would always remind everyone that he started to work when he was 10, and his last job ended when he was 80.

He was a member of Crosswinds Community Church and was one of the caretakers of the building and grounds for several years.

Survivors include his daughter, Pati Minnick and husband Larry of Hobbs, NM; his grandchildren Barry Wright and wife Norma of Odessa, TX and Dedra Deming and husband Dean of Eastland, TX, his great-grandchildren, Dustin Wright and wife Alex of Lubbock, TX, Cameron Martin of Hobbs, NM, and Madison Martin, of Eastland, TX, and two great-great-grandsons, Oliver and Hayden Wright of Lubbock, Tx.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty, and one daughter, Waydean Sorrell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.act.alz.org) or Crosswinds Community Church Building Fund.
