Barbara Ann McWilliams, 87, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Midland, Texas. She moved to Midland in 2021, after living most of her life in Hobbs.

Barbara enjoyed a long career in banking that began in 1967, with New Mexico Bank and Trust, now referred to as Lea County State Bank. Over the years she held many positions and reached the title of Assistant Vice President.

Barbara was actively involved in Beta Sigma Phi sorority and was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She enjoyed travelling as often and as far away as possible. She took great pride in decorating for Christmas, her Santa and Nativity collections usually grew annually.

She married Ronald (Ron) E. McWilliams on April 11, 1959 in Eunice, NM. They were blessed with two sons - Gary McWilliams, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Rodney McWilliams (wife Shana), of Midland, Texas. As proud as she was of her two boys, no one could deny her adoration for her one and only grandchild - Erin McWilliams, of Midland, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron; her parents, Ralph and Dorothy McPherson; her siblings, Harold McPherson, Paul McPherson and Shirley Evans.

She is survived by her sons, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Temple Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
