It is with a very heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved mother, Barbara Ann Paschal. The Lord has called Mom home to Heaven, where we know her husband, Buddy Paschal, was waiting to welcome her with open arms. After a lifetime of love together, they are reunited once again, this time for eternity.

Barbara was born on October 5, 1940, in Milburn, Oklahoma, in Johnston County, to Ed and Liz. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Buddy Paschal; her brother, James; and her sister-in-law, Kathy.

Mom was one tough, caring, loving, and VERY prideful woman. She was incredibly organized, knew exactly how she wanted things done, and she was never afraid to tell you exactly what she thought! Those are some of the things we will miss the most.

She loved spending time with her husband Buddy and seeing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved her dogs, Lizzie and Snooki, and enjoyed bowling, golf, bingo, fishing at Eunice Lake, playing Rook, and an occasional trip to Zia Casino.

Some of the best memories were also the simplest ones—like hitting ground balls to her son in the backyard.

Barbara loved keeping up with the news and weather and watching Scottie Scheffler play golf. She enjoyed listening to Charles Stanley, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs, especially Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, and she proudly liked her Democrats—no matter what! As the family would say, “That’s the Robbins in her!”

She loved watching YouTube and especially looked forward to watching the Eunice Cardinals and Billy Blevins play. She didn’t want to miss a game.

Barbara was a professional beautician and took great pride in her work. In her downtime, she enjoyed watching Netflix and some of her favorite shows, including Yellowstone, Heartland, and The Ranch. When Rhonda gave her an iPad, she fell in love with it immediately and especially enjoyed playing her Gold Fish games.

Barbara leaves behind her daughter, Kim, and son-in-law, Ricky Hobbs; her son, David, and daughter-in-law, Rhonda Paschal; four grandchildren, Kyrk and Erin Paschal, Morgan & Justin Thomas, Lesleigh Hall and Kent, and Ben Hobbs and Catherine; and six great-grandchildren, Macy, Brai, Kennedy, Quinn, Hayley, and Charles.

Barbara was also blessed with two wonderful friends, Alice Sappington and Cindy Lisenbee, who faithfully checked on her every day. Our family loves and appreciates you both more than you will ever know. Thank you for loving her and being there for her.

Our family would also like to give a very special thank-you to Barbara’s doctor, Dr. Wagner, whom she truly loved, and to everyone from Hospice who cared for her: Ashley, Pat, Ginger, Marissa, ShaunTee, Shelly, Melissa, Melanie, Shannon, Nancy, Yovana, Ranae, and Adam. If we have unintentionally left anyone’s name out, please forgive us. We are grateful for and love every one of you who helped care for Mom.

And from David, a very special thank-you to his wife, Rhonda:

Thank you for being an angel to Mom and to our entire family and for helping us through these difficult times. Your love, strength, and compassion have meant more than words could ever express. Love you, Babe.

Mom, there is going to be an emptiness without you that can never truly be filled. But knowing that you are with Dad again gives us comfort. We can only imagine the reunion when he saw you coming and welcomed you home.

We are definitely going to miss you, Mom.

Thank you for being the strong, caring, loving woman who held so many memories for our family. Your strength, your opinions, your humor, your pride, and most of all your love will live on through all of us.

Until we see you and Dad again, rest peacefully together in Heaven.
