Betty Callaway

Betty Jane Callaway, 89, of Hobbs, passed peacefully in her sleep at home Sunday, January 5, 2020. She was born June 4, 1930 in Duncan, Oklahoma to James and Nancy Lorance. She married Jack Callaway on May 15, 1948 in Henrietta, Texas.

Betty was a loving and caring wife and mom who always put everyone else's needs before her own. She especially loved her role as "Nanny" to anyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with her.

Betty was reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Jack who preceded her in death on December 5, 2009.  She is survived by daughter Jackie Callaway and son Jimmy Callaway both of Hobbs, four grandchildren, Jason Scott and his wife DeAnn of Hobbs, Kristen Oswald and her husband Philip of South Carolina, Jack Callaway and James Callaway both of Hobbs; nine great grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Chloe Scott of Hobbs, and Spencer, Nathan, Mandy Oswald of South Carolina, and Owen Callaway of Hobbs, and Penelope and Ophelia Callaway of Odessa, Texas.
