Billy Winker

Bill Winker, age 81, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Idabel, OK. His parents are Mike and Ora Winker. He graduated from Hobbs High School. Bill married the love of his life, Linda (Sweetie) Winker on October 7, 1961, in Eunice, NM. They were married for 58 years. Linda passed on November 28, 2020. He worked as a mechanic for Kerr Magee, in Carlsbad, NM, Texas Gulf in Green River, WY, and for many years Chaparral Service in Eunice, NM. He was a Superintendent for Anadarko Production until his Retirement. He owned and operated Bill's Truck Repair while working his other jobs. He had a wonderful knack for fixing, repairing, and solving problems. Bill lived his life with Linda as they traveled, fished, golfed, hunting, and loved spending time with family, and most importantly his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Carol (Ben) Miller, Donna Taylor. 4 grandchildren Garet Coy, Matt (Cari) Coy, Zach (Dianna) Ruth, Heather (Jake) Borches, and 7 great grandchildren Tanner Coy, Rayah Coy, Tyson Coy, Garrin Coy, Ava Ruth, Hunter Borches, and Jax Ruth. He requested no services. After cremation, the family will have a private memorial service to be able to grieve, and support each other and at a later date.
