Carol was born in Joplin, Missouri on July 2nd, 1933, to Bill and Mae (Smell) Watson. Her family moved from Missouri to Kermit, Texas shortly after Carol was born. She loved all animals and her and Monte always had a number of dogs (1 or 2) and cats (30), never turning away strays.

Carol and Monte loved exploring the country during their lives and in retirement. They travelled frequently to Florida and Wyoming visiting their daughters and families. Carol loved all things outdoors in particular fishing. She loved playing games; pinochle, bridge, spades, Uno, dominoes, Bingo, and could frequently be found beating her grandchildren at Boggle.

She leaves a family who loves her deeply including her daughter Kate Ballew wife of Bob Ballew Casper, WY, her son-in-law Ronnie Sebring of Bonita Springs, Florida, 3 beloved grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Candice Sebring-Kelber (Harvey) and her daughter Cameron of Bonita Springs, Florida.
