Brad Bond

April 29, 1953 — May 25, 2024

Hobbs

Brad Bond passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Born on April 29, 1953, in Hobbs, New Mexico, Brad was the second of four children of Dale and Bobbye Bond. He graduated from Hobbs High School in 1971, then attended New Mexico Junior College.

A man of many trades, Brad spent his earlier years building grain silos from coast to coast, and later spent his time perfecting his carpentry, electrical, and surveying skills. Brad had a talent for woodworking and metal art, and often gifted his friends and family his unique creations. There was nothing Brad couldn't make or fix.

Hobbs was always his home. Brad loved working in his yard and created an eclectic space for friends to gather. Known for his generous nature and willingness to help, Brad could always be found lending a hand, socializing around the neighborhood, and making his loved ones laugh. You could always find his sweet Chihuahua, Rosie, by his side.

Raised in a Christian home, Brad loved his Heavenly Father and gave his life to Jesus at a young age.

Brad will be laid to rest at Prairie Haven alongside his parents and brother at a later date.

Brad is preceded in death by his wife Terre, parents Dale and Bobbye Bond, his brother Mark, who was also his best friend, and his sister Kay Broadus. Brad is survived by his sister Jane Eidson (Gary), his brother-in-law Allen Broadus; his nephews Brian Broadus (Carrie) and Spencer Eidson, and his nieces Kirsten Schaap (Rick) and McCall Eidson.
