With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Casey Lynn Jones of Hobbs, New Mexico, who left this world on March 14, 2026, at the age of 46. Casey was born on June 14, 1979, in Hobbs to Karen Rosetta Gilbert and Dale May.
Casey married the love of her life, Antonio Xavier Jones, on March 14, 2014, in Hobbs, New Mexico. Together they built a beautiful life over the next 12 years, raising their children and creating a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Casey had a gift for bringing joy to others. She loved baking sweet treats, especially cakes and cookies, and enjoyed simple pleasures like chocolate and vanilla snow ice cream on snowy days. She had a creative spirit and found happiness in arts and crafts, including painting, coloring, diamond art, and crocheting. Her home was filled with pictures of the family she adored so deeply, a reflection of how much they meant to her. She was a devoted grandmother to Ember, whom she loved beyond measure, creating handmade keepsakes like onesies, blankets, and artwork that will be treasured forever. Casey also had a deep love for animals and would rescue as many as she could. Her cats were her constant companions and brought her great comfort, even despite her allergies.
Casey will be remembered as a kind, selfless, and loving soul who would do anything for the people she cared about. Her warmth and compassion touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Antonio Jones; her children, Nicholas Alexander Solomon, Makenzie Michelle Rose Solomon (Cody), Mariah Antionette Thomas (Zach), Courtney Paige Schmutzler (Carson), Reagan Lee Solomon, and Aiden Matthew Jones; and her cherished granddaughter, Ember Wynslee Nolen. She is also survived by her stepfather, Michael Gilbert; her father, Dale May (Joy); her sisters, Rebecca Gilbert, Brandi Crenshaw, and Lizabeth Arreola; her brother, Jeromy May; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Karen Rosetta Gilbert; her infant brother, Robert Allan May; her maternal grandparents; and her aunt, Sandy Evans. Casey was an amazing daughter, mother, and grandmother.
She was truly one of a kind, and her love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Rest in peace, our sweet angel.
