Celia Ortega

Celia Ortega, 60, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, was called to her eternal resting place on April 6, 2020. She entered this world on June 13, 1959, in Hobbs, NM, born to Simon and Susana Rendon. She is survived by her son Gilbert Garza Jr, daughter Sandra Ortega and son-in-law Byrom Oliver, Siblings Benny & Christine Maldonado, David & Irma Floyd, Simon & Glenna Rendon, Luis & Nancy Tovar, Rudy & Priscilla Tarango, and Richard & Valerie Rendon. Grandmother to four grandsons Trey, Dominic, Branden and Joshua and two granddaughters Briana and Amiliyana. Survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother Susana Rendon, husband Refugio Ortega, grandparents Natividad & Petra Rendon.

Celia Ortega, born June 13th, 1959 was an amazing and selfless person who enjoyed life to the very fullest. She had a heart of gold and went above and beyond to help anyone at any given time. Truly loved by her grandkids, they were her world. If anyone knows “two white feathers" you were truly blessed to know this wonderful, kind, and beautiful spirit, whose faith in church and belief in Virgin de Guadalupe was profound beyond words.
