Charles Hawthorne

Charles Bill Hawthorne, 92, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006 at Lea Regional Meshy;dical Center. He was born Jan. 17, 1914 in Calvin, Okla. He marshy;ried Geraldshy;ine Hawthshy;orne on Dec. 16, 1949 in Lovington, N.M .

Bill worked for El Paso Natural Gas for over 35 years. He was also a member of the Elks, Masons and the VFW, but most of all he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Hobbs.

Survivors include his wife, M. Geraldine Hawthorne of Hobbs; two sons, Ron Krantz of El Paso, Texas, and Charles G. Hawthorne, of Farmington, N.M.; a sister, Bertie Kinnaman of Grove, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mamie Hawthorne; two brothers, Freddie and Hughey Hawthorne, and a sister, Alma Morris.
