Cherrye Simpson

Cherrye Lynn Simpson, 63, of Hobbs, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on December 28, 2021.

Cherrye was born in Hobbs, New Mexico to Wanda Lawson & Delford Medders on December 2, 1958. She has been with her loving husband, Keith Simpson, for 42 years. They were wed on August 24, 1979.

Cherrye was a dedicated wife, loving mother, and beloved grandmother. Her hobbies included fishing, hiking, and traveling. She was an avid gardener. Above all, she enjoyed spending her time surrounded by family and friends. She also had a special place in her heart for her two Boston Terriers and her many Turtles.

She is preceded in death by, her mother, Wanda Lawson.

Cherrye is survived by her loving husband, Keith Simpson, her eldest son; Ben Simpson & wife, Laurie, middle son; Corey Simpson & girlfriend, Ashley, youngest son Gage Simpson & wife, Krystal, & granddaughter Jadyn. Father; Delford Medders, brothers; Mike & Randy Medders, sister; Regina Lucas, along with numerous nieces & nephews.
