Cynthia McVey

Cynthia Kay McVey was born on January 19, 1963, in Hobbs, NM to Barbara and Perry Schaaphok.  She passed away peacefully on Saturday July 15, 2023.  She was happily married to her husband Marc McVey for 44 years.  She was an RN in the Hobbs area for 31 years.  She graduated with honors from the NMJC Nursing Program.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Timothy Schaaphok.  She is survived by her parents Barbara and Perry Schaaphok of Hobbs, NM, her husband Marc McVey of Hobbs, NM, her 3 sons; Zac McVey of Las Cruces, NM, Nic McVey of Breckenridge, TX, and Jacob McVey and his wife Samantha McVey of Breckenridge, TX, 6 grandchildren Nathan McVey and Hector Patterson of Albuquerque, NM, Carson and Rickey of Breckenridge, TX, Morgan and Leighton of Mineral Wells, TX, 1 nephew Chris Witulski of Abilene, TX.  She is also survived by several cousins, aunts, and uncles.  She was deeply loved by all members of her family and will be greatly missed.
