Funeral services for Dale Fry of Hobbs, N.M., will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2008, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with Russell Hill, VistaCare Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Masonic rites will be held by Hobbs Masonic Lodge No. 63.
Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
Visitation is 10 a.m.- 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. until service time Friday at Chapel of Hope.
Mr. Fry, 82, died May 27, 2008, at Desert Gardens. He was born March 15, 1926, in Spur, Texas. He married Erma Fry, who preceded him in death in 1993.
Dale served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II. He owned Blue Flame Battery and Magneto until 1979 when he retired to travel with his wife, Erma. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, camping, gardening and dancshy;ing.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Blackwell of Socorro, N.M., and Gary Fry of Hobbs, N.M.; two daughters, Debbie Siegenthaler of Morrison, Colo., and Brenda Stewart of Hobbs, N.M.; three brothers, Alex Fry of Buffalo Gap, Texas, and Bill Fry and Mack Fry of Lubbock, Texas; a sisshy;ter, Nada Ivy of Powell, Wyo.; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Fry was preceded in death by his wife, Erma Fry; his parents, Albert and Esther Fry; two brothers, Thedford and A. T. Fry; and a sister, Lucille Smith.
