Daniel Vail

Daniel Clarke Vail, age 70, passed away on January 1, 2021.

Dan was born in Anchorage, Alaska and attended high school in Odessa, Texas.

He served with the Army Combat Engineers during Vietnam from 1968-1971. Upon his honorable discharge he attended Sul Ross State University. He moved to Hobbs, NM in 1987 where he worked as a machinist.

He was actively involved in the Moose, VFW and American Legion. He served as commander and chaplain of the VFW in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Dan never met a stranger and will be missed by those who loved him the most. He is survived by his brother Tony Vail, daughter Danielle Vail, niece and nephews, grandsons, and a great-granddaughter.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Hobbs, New Mexico.
