Funeral services for Darlene Jo Smith of Hobbs, N.M., will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008, at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with the Rev. Russell Hill, VistaCare Hospice Chaplain officiating. Cremation will take place.
Mrs. Smith, 81, died March 7, 2008, at her home in Hobbs, N.M. She was born Nov. 6, 1926, in Enid, Oklahoma. She married Ray Smith on Dec. 20, 1945, in Hobbs, N.M.
Darlene was very dedicatshy;ed to her famIly. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Jefferson Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Kenny Smith and wife Peggy of Hobbs, N.M.; five grandchilshy;dren, Paula Manis, Darla Kiziah, Lorie Rohloff, Tim Davis and Robert Bateman; six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Brady, Trey, K.T., Kason and Jesse; a sister, Betty Williams of Hobbs, N.M.; and, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, in 2005.
