In loving memory: Deryl Dwayne Brown, 84 of Eunice, NM.

Deryl Dwayne Brown, 84 born on February 5, 1940, in Gorman, Texas to Corbett Copeland Brown and Katherine Fay Daniels went peacefully to be with the Lord, after a lengthy illness on Tuesday March 26, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Dwayne lived a full and vibrant life, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy that will be remembered by all who knew him.

Throughout his 84 years, Dwayne worked as a drilling consultant up until he retired and was well known for his knowledge in the oilfield. When he was younger, he was very passionate about horses, horse races and he was an amazing calf roper and knew how to bet on the ponies at the races. He was very competitive in everything he did and always pursued his passions with enthusiasm and determination. He loved to play golf, dance, play dominoes, and was very good at a game of pool.

In his short time of living in Eunice he touched many lives and was very blessed to meet many people who became his good friends. One special friend that was a very large part of his life was Roselea Pearl Hooper of Eunice, NM.

Dwayne was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by his Step-Mother Mary Chapman Brown of Beaumont TX, one Brother Corby Ray Brown and his wife Michelle of Aledo, TX, one Son, Brent Dwayne Brown and his wife Janette of Eunice, NM, 2 Daughter's, Becky Lynn Culver and her husband Darryl of Hobbs, NM, and Betha Kay Walker and her husband Larry of Eunice, NM, 7 grandchildren: Daydra Coombes, Zack Brown, Corby Brown, Kody Culver, Cassie Magby, Clay Vinson and Kayla Smuin, and 11 Great-Grandchildren.

Deryl Dwayne Brown will be remembered not only for the life he lived but for the love and light he brought into the lives of those around him. May he rest in peace.

Dewayne's wishes were to have no service but to be placed in Woodson, TX by his mother and father.
