Doris Sue (Scott) Brewer

  Sue Brewer, 78, of Hobbs, NM., passed away on February 18, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

  Sue was born on March 11, 1945, to S.R. Scott and Verta Mae (Harvey) Scott in San Angelo, Texas. She grew up in McCamey, Texas and graduated with the class of 1963. While attending high school she met Michael Travis Brewer whom she later married on August 8, 1964, at First Baptist Church in McCamey. Mike and Sue had three children, Michael Travis, Connor Scott, and Shannon Lynn.

  She graduated from Cooke County College in Gainesville, Texas in 1974 with her RN. 

   Sue is survived by her husband, Mike T. Brewer of the home, one son Travis Brewer of Lovington, NM, one daughter, Shannon Salmon and husband Gilbert Salmon of Hobbs, NM, six grandchildren, Alexander Salmon and wife Samantha of Albuquerque, NM, Michaela Salmon and Caleb Salmon of Hobbs, NM. Triste Brewer and wife Bree of Eastland, Texas. Shelby Brewer of Searcy, Arkansas, Tessa Salsedo of Stephenville, Texas, one brother, Don Scott and wife Margaret of Horseshoe Bay, Texas, sisters-in-law, Sheridan Scott of Eastland and Gerry Wolf of Wink, Texas, daughters-in-law Sandi Brewer of Granbury, Texas, and Stephanie Brewer of Stephenville, several nieces and nephews.

    She is proceeded in death by one son, Connor Brewer, her parents S.R. Scott and Verta Mae Scott, two brothers, Jerry, and Ray Paul Scott.
