E. D. "Dusty" Rhoades

E. D. (Dusty) Rhoades, 96, beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather was called to his eternal resting place on January 19, 2021 in his home in Hobbs NM with family supporting and spoiling him. He entered this world on October 15, 1924 in Lubbock, TX, born to Ruel and Matilda "Mallie" Cornett Rhoades. He is survived by his daughter Sandy Uhl (husband Gene) of Rio Rancho NM, Mary Pearson (husband Mike) of Hobbs, NM and son Bill Rhoades of Santa Fe NM. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dusty graduated high school in Lamesa, Texas, served in the Army Air Corp and retired from El Paso Natural Gas. He was a member of Church of Christ and Masonic Lodge. Dusty deeply loved his family, friends, being a pilot and taking the family flying, attending senior dances at least 3 times a week, fishing, Tuesday, and Friday coffee with "the coffee gang" (and his grandsons) his best friend and great-grandson, Johnathon, and radio-controlled airplanes. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.

The graveside service is at 2:00 pm Texas Time.
