Esequiel Morales

Esequiel "Checke" Morales, 71, passed away October 2, 2016 in Hobbs. He was born on October 23, 1944 to Concepsion and Ambrosia Morales in Morton, Texas. He served in Vietnam in the Army and worked as a derrick hand in the oilfields of Portales, Clovis and Hobbs. He loved to dance, garden, fish and was a great artist.

Esequiel is survived by his children; Gilbert, Eddie, James, Diane, Melisa, Mariabel, Arturo; 8 grandchildren; brother, Elio; half-brothers, Gonzalo, Pete, Marcos, Rodolfo and Mario and half-sisters, Lina and Dee. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2016 at Memory Gardens with Reverend Ricardo Bauza as Celebrant.
