Ethel Walker

Born to the late Augusta and Edna Combs on June 20,1925 in Corsicana, Texas. Ethel Mae moved to Hobbs, New Mexico in 1944, and united with the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the pastorate of the late Rev. F.W. Wells.
Working as a domestic worker for several prominent families here in the city of Hobbs Ethel Mae contributed to the success of many.
She was a long-time member of the Eastern Star, Lovely Ladies, Manhattan Social Club and the Creative Study Club. She will be best remembered as a person filled with an abundant joy and friendliness.
Transitioning this life July 8, 2018 leaving to cherish her memory son's Jesse Walker, Hobbs, NM, Kenneth Walker. Fullerton, Calif., David (Princess) Walker, Albuquerque, NM, James (Mary Beth) Walker, Long Beach, Calif., Nathan, Sr.(Sarah) Walker, Hobbs, NM, and daughter's; Lynn Walker and Theresa Walker both of Hobbs, NM, grandchildren Danielle(Lance) Sanders, Hobbs, NM, Jeffrey Walker, San Bernadino, Calif., Ladrick(Yvonne) Walker, Hanford, Calif., Nathan Jr. Walker, Hobbs, NM and Taylor Walker of Long Beach, Calif. 10 great-grands, and 11 great-great grands, plus a host of relatives and friends.
