Eugenia Pierce

Eugenia Lea Pierce, 88, was born July 28, 1930 in Ranger, TX to W. E. and Sarah Johnston. She passed away January 30, 2019 in Hobbs.
She attended Eunice High School in 1948 and graduated as the Valedictorian. She married Ray Pierce on September 9, 1948. They owned and operated Pierce Production Company in Eunice. Eugenia was a member of the Eunice Band Boosters while her children were in school and was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader. She was a member of the Eunice Library Board for many years.
She is survived by her children; Jeannette Throneberry and Larry of Greeley, CO, Bill Pierce and Peggy of Midland, TX and Cynthia Sims and Floyd of Eunice, brother; Edwin Johnston, grandchildren; Melinda Dunn, Nathan Throneberry, Jennifer LaForge, and Leslie Whitehead, great-grandchildren; James, Raleigh, Kaleigh and Jackson LaForge, William Ruehl, Elijah Throneberry, Delaney and Kanon Whitehead.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, sister and niece.
