Felicita Herrera

Funeral services for Felicita "Fela" Herrera, 53, of Hobbs will be held on Friday, June 22,2018 at 2:00 pm at St. Helena's Catholic Church in Hobbs with Reverend Joe Pacquing officiating.
Felicita was born on October 5, 1964, in Brownfield, TX To Sixto Abdon Herrera and Maria Elvina Cavazos and entered the gates of Heaven on June 19, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Felicita attended school in Denver City, TX and was a dedicated employee of Hobbs Municipal Schools as lead custodian at Hobbs High. She enjoyed spending time with her family making wonderful memories at each and every holiday, birthday, football, baseball and basketball game that she attended faithfully to show her ever so loving support. Being a Mom to her Daughters and "Nana" to her grandchildren was the most cherished role in her life. Felicita lived her life to the fullest by always gracing everyone with a beautiful smile and caring heart.
Her nephews Cesar Mikael Beltran and Zachary Allen Herrera precede her in death.
Surviving her are her husband, Gabriel Vejar. Three daughters; Veronica and husband Andy Cervantes, Valerie Hernandez and significant other Adam Rodriguez, all of Hobbs, NM, Melanie and husband Sebastian Romero of Midland TX; two stepsons; Gabriel and Gavin Vejar of Lovington NM; her Parents; Sixto Abdon Herrera and wife Josie Aranda of Hobbs, NM, Maria Elvina Cavazos of Raymondville TX; three sisters, Biviana Beltran, Corina Gonzales, and Nena Gracia; two brothers; Dimas Herrera and Ismael "Smokey" Herrera; two granddaughters, five grandsons and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Felicita will be greatly missed by many, especially her family. Her strong will to live has taught us all how to live a life of fun, love, laughter and no regret.
Our family would like to thank each and every soul that was a part of our loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, Aunt and Nana's life, our time spent with her will ensure her memory will live on forever.
