Frances Ensey

Frances Ensey, a longtime resident of Hobbs, NM, died Thursday, January 14th, 2021. She was 85.  A celebration of Frances's life will be held at a later date at the First Presbyterian Church.

Frances was born on July 29, 1935 in a rural Iowa community and was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Ensey. She is survived by her daughter Sheri Schrier; grandson Xander Schrier; grandson Max Schrier; son-in-law Scotty Schrier.

She enjoyed learning and reading and used that passion when she attended the University of Northern Iowa to earn her degree in elementary education.  After teaching several years in Iowa.  She decided to head south for warmer weather. She took a teaching position in Hobbs, NM at Coronado Elementary School and became a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she remained an active member for 50 years.

Memorial donations may be made in Frances's name to The Susan G Komen Cancer Foundation.
