alignjustifyGraveside services for Curtis Worden of Hobbs, New Mexico, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Prairie Haven Cemetery. Pastor Jim Martin will officiate.

alignjustifyMr. Worden, 79, died April 16, 2009, at Good Samaritan Village. He was born December 15, 1929, in Hobbs. He married Mary Kathryn Kitty Worden on October. 7, 1971, in Seminole, Texas.

alignjustifyCurtis owned and operated the first 7-11 store in Hobbs. He also owned and operated the Malco service station on Marland. He worked for American National Insurance for many years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

alignjustifySurvivors include two daughters, Becky Bogle and husband Mike of Arroyo Grande, Califiornia, Cindy Burke and husband Steve of Arroyo Grande, California; stepson, Jim Martin and wife Becky of Midland, Texas; six grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren.

alignjustifyCurtis was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Jessie Sanders Worden, and two brothers, Elvis and Coy Worden.
