Frankye Williams

Frankye Anne Williams passed from this life to her heavenly home on September 26, 2018 in Hobbs, New Mexico surrounded by her family.
Frankye was born in Comanche, Oklahoma on September 14, 1933 to Chester A. and Eula M. Davenport.
She lived for the outdoors, hunted and fished with her family and friends, and exceled in school, especially in music where she became the drum majorette of the Comanche High School Band.
In 1956 she ventured out to Lea County from Oklahoma, where she remained until her passing. Even though Lea County was her home, she would let you know, she was still an "Okie" at heart.
Frankye married Thomas Andrew Williams on January 15th, 1974 and shared many adventures as a couple, owning and racing horses which brought them years of enjoyment, travelling through out the United States, and all along the way, loving life and family.
She worked in Hobbs, New Mexico at Lea General Hospital as an administrative secretary to three administrators, retiring in 1976, when the hospital closed. From there she pursued her passion for painting and growing roses and becoming a home maker and soon a "Grand Ma".
She and Tom enjoyed and loved five sons: Bruce (Barbara) Williams of Willow Park, Texas, Randy (Drucilla) Williams of Andrews, Texas, Stanley (Becky) Williams of Hobbs, New Mexico, Craig (Sharon) Williams of Aztec, New Mexico and Shelby (Christopher) Williams of Dallas, Texas.
They shared and loved five grandchildren: Kari Payne, Stancle (Jordin) Williams, Charner (Katie) Williams, Patricia Williams and Randi Williams.
And treasured their five great-grandchildren: Emma, Georgie, Braylen, Emory and Landon.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Williams and is survived by her sister, Betty Jean Roberts of Edmond, Oklahoma along with Betty Jean's daughter Connie Beth and son David.
The family would like to give special thanks and love to the members of Good Life Assisted Living, whom cared for "Momma Bear" as well as the ladies of Star Hospice, whom helped the family transition from this life to the next.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be sent to the First Christian Church of Hobbs, New Mexico where she was a member for many years, in her memory.
