Freddie “Welo” Longoria Sr. 72, was born December 27, 1946 in Corpus Christi TX to Balvina Aguirre and Antonio Longoria. He passed away in Hobbs at his residence on November 27, 2019. He lived in Hobbs for several years. He married Guadalupe Longoria (Perales) November 29, 1968. Freddie was a proud employee of Waste Control/Management for 35 years before retiring. He enjoyed jamming out, being with his family and friends. He had his favorite down times which was watching /talking Novellas with Sylvia, drinking beer and Dr Pepper that his girl Brenda Gee brought him almost daily, and talking to his best friend Lola Bird. He enjoyed playing guitar and watching Vincent play his guitar. He also enjoyed playing his accordion, and singing to his Pandora Tejano station, he really enjoyed talking mess mostly to Corina and making everyone laugh. If you knew Welo you knew that his grandkids meant the world to him!!! But let’s not forget he was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. Freddie is survived by his kids; Corina and husband Phillip Martinez, Sylvia and husband Harvey Bejar, Freddie Longoria Jr., Victoria and husband Terry Van Winkle; 22 grandkids, 16 great-grandkids, 1 brother, and 5 sisters. He was preceded in death by both parents; wife, son, Joe Longoria, grandson, Rodney Rudy Jr., granddaughter Estrella Rudy, great-granddaughter, Liliann’e De La Rosa, in-laws, Manuela and Jose Perales, brothers, Jose Luis Longoria, Martin Aguirre, and Antonio Longoria, and sister, Rachel Ybarra.
