Gary Green

In Loving Memory

Gary Lynn Green, 77, of Hobbs, NM passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Lea Regional Hospital. Born June 10, 1942 in Colorado City, TX to Glen Aston and Irene (Holmes) Green, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, sports enthusiast, mentor to many, and friend to all. Mr. Green impacted many young lives while serving at the Boys and Girls Club of Hobbs for 23 years. He later continued working with youth at the Guidance Center of Lea County. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed playing golf, coaching baseball, rooting on his Dallas Cowboys and watching old Westerns. He is survived by his wife, Anna Grace Green; sister, Gale Leslie and husband Bill of Cottonwood, AZ; three children: Kerri Frizzell and husband Chuck of Hobbs, NM, Guy Green  and wife Laura of Pampa, TX, Kelley Newell and husband Edward of Anthem, AZ; six grandchildren: Eden Fowler and husband Dan of Pampa, TX, Rianna Frederiksen and husband Robert of Peyton, CO,  Lauren Dubois and husband Chris of Hollister, CA, Weston Newell of Laguna Beach, CA, Jacob Green of Pampa, TX, Jordan Green of Stillwater, OK, and five great grandchildren: Clara, Barron and Ian Fowler, Brody Frederiksen and Truett Dubois. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Glenda Grandjean.
