Gary Don Henderson

Gary Don Henderson passed away at home in Paris, Texas, on June 1, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was the son of William Sidney and Joyce Imogene Henderson and was born on May 31, 1953, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. Gary married Mary Manes on March 16, 1973, in Seminole, Texas. Before moving to Paris, Texas, Gary, and Mary made their home and raised a family in Lovington, New Mexico, where Gary worked for Caprock Pipe & Supply. Gary loved auto racing and would often be found working on cars in his shop; he went to races almost every weekend. Gary was so loved by his family and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife Mary, his son Matthew (and wife Holly) Henderson, and his daughter Angela Henderson—all of Paris, Texas, along with his granddaughters Aaryn Honeywood (of Paris) and Alexandra (of Ruston, Louisiana), his great grandson Kastyn Honeywood (also of Paris), his brother in law Keith Manes (of Hobbs), his brothers Jerry Henderson (of Eunice) and Roger (and wife Jennifer) Henderson (of Odessa), his aunt Ludy Pettit (of Houston), as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Patricia Ridley.

There will be a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Chapel of Hope followed at 3:00 p.m. by a graveside service at Prairie Haven Cemetery.
