Glenda Sanders

Glenda L. Sanders, 75, was born January 9, 1943 in Georgetown, TX to Marcos and Isebell Brooks.
She passed away in Hobbs, NM on October 4, 2018.

Glenda was the first female officer to service with the Lea County Sheriff Department. She was one of the original security officers at the WIPP site. Glenda loved animals, especially horses. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband, Jon Sanders of Hobbs, her children; Jon Sanders, Jr. (Dawnya), Judy King and Bill, Frances Plusquellic all of Hobbs, Wayne Sanders (Lisha) of Limestone, Maine, Donna Pinkston (Terry) of San Antonio, TX, Terry Nichols (Tim) of Deming, NM, Tina Sanders of Portales, NM and Renea Atkinson of Las Vegas, Nevada, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Margaret French.
