Helen L. Pool

Helen L. Pool passed from this precious life at home on March 13, 2024, at the age of 82. Helen was born May 20, 1941, to Clyde and Jewel Vick in Twitty, Texas. Helen met the love of her life and stayed in contact with him while he was serving in the US Navy, writing letters back and forth, and eventually exchanging vows once he returned home on April 24, 1960.

Helen and her beloved husband, Robert moved to Hobbs, New Mexico in the summer of 1965 with their children. Helen was a lifelong homemaker of the family. Helen enjoyed quilting (making each grandkid a graduation quilt and each great grandkid a baby blanket), camping in Cloudcroft with her family, spending time with her kids, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Helen had a love for Jesus Christ and read her Bible nightly. Helen captured her lifelong memories through a ton of pictures that will be treasured by her family.

Helen is survived by her enormous family that loved her dearly, her four children, Eric Pool and his wife Waunell, Robbie Lankford, Brian Keith Pool, and his wife Janneice, and Tonya Pool. Helen was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 11 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Johnny Vick.

Helen was proceeded in death by her husband, Robert A. Pool, one daughter, Valerie J. Pool, one granddaughter, Joannie Holmes and one great grand-daughter Victoria Easter, along with five sisters, Juanita Smith, Sandra Scott, Bonnie Gutierrez, Carolyn Sue Purvis, (Mary)and four brothers, Jesse Vick, Shelby Vick, Melvin Vick, (Raymond).

GG (as she was known) will be missed tremendously by everyone that loved her. We know she is smiling, pain free, enjoying her time with her husband, sister, and her daughter.
