Hershel Baugh

September 12, 1947 — April 11, 2018

Hershel Lynn Baugh, 70, was born September 12, 1947 in Sweetwater, TX to John Norman Baugh and Zulla Lee DeVoll Baugh. He passed away in Hobbs on April 11, 2018.

He moved to Hobbs at a young age and spent his whole life here. He married Mickey Baugh on November 8, 1985. On May 5, 1968 he went to work at Halliburton and worked there until he retired after 36 years. Hershel attended Highland Baptist Church for over 35 years. He enjoyed the Cowboys, golf, fishing, and fantasy football. Meeting Freddy Couples, his favorite golfer, was one of the highlights of his life. Family and church were the most important things to him.

He is survived by his wife Mickey; seven children, Adam Baugh (Lisa) of TX, Jeremy Baugh of TX, Robert Paul Wooldridge of NM, Danny Wooldridge (Sandy) of OK, Laura Young (Gary) of NM, Kristina Hawkins of FL, and D'Andra Shu (Glen) of TX; nine grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his mom and dad and one son, Anthony Clayton Baugh.
