Humberto Galindo, Jr.

Humberto “Bert” Galindo Jr., 46, of Hobbs, NM formally of Jal, NM passed away on October 21, 2022, at UMC Lubbock after battling a short illness.  Born August 5, 1976, in Odessa, TX, Bert lived most of his life in Jal where he was a very active member in the community.   He established a youth sports program and coached for over 15 years, served on the Jal School Board and owned a successful oilfield business. Bert made friends no matter where he went and had a smile that would brighten the room.  Everyone who knew Bert will cherish the impact he had on our lives either through love, friendship, mentorship, or his humor.  Above all he was the most amazing and loving father to his two boys, who he was most proud of.  Bert will forever be in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years Jamie Galindo; son Mathew Galindo and his wife Lesielie of Jal, son Nathan Galindo of Lubbock; parents, Stacy and Ramona Ward; father, Humberto Galindo, Sr.; sisters, Veronica Ramos, and Marissa Ward; many loving nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
