Irene Soria

Hobbs, New Mexico

Irene R. Soria, 87 was born on August 18, 1936 to Dionicio Rodriguez and Teodora Arevalo de Rodriguez in El Azucar, Mexico.   She entered our heavenly kingdom on February 3, 2024. 

Irene married the love of her life, David Soria on August 17, 1957.  They were married for 66 years and were blessed with four children:  Irene (James) Jones, Aurora (Noel Munoz) Soria, David (Karen) Soria, and Ana (Tony) Leo.   Irene had 9 grandchildren, Jeremy (Neika) Soria, Jose (Raechelle) Valenzuela, Nicolas (Alicia Juarez) Munoz, Christopher (Elizabeth) Munoz, David (Holly) Jones, Eric (Victoria) Jones, Audrey (Justin) Fuller, Richard Cohagen and Dustin Cohagen. She had 13 great grandchildren. Irene and David owned and operated City Cleaners for 43 years and loved each and, every one of their customers. Many who became dear friends to them over the years. Irene loved camping, fishing, and hiking. Most importantly she loved her family and always spoke highly of each of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Irene is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Irene will be remembered for her beautiful soul and fiery spirit. Although she will be greatly missed, she is flying with our Lord and Savior.

Memorial service will be held on February 22, 2024, at 10:00am at Christian Center Church, Hobbs, NM under the direction of Chapel of Hope.
