It is with a heavy heart as a loving family, we announce the departure of our son Ismael Rios.

Ismael (Milo) was born in Hobbs, New Mexico on March 18, 2006, where he attended College Lane Elementary, Highland Junior High, Hobbs High School and the Academy of the New Mexico Youth Challenge where he graduated from later, attending ENMU in Roswell, earning a certification as a CNA and EMT.

Everyone that knew Milo knew the loving, caring, and protective person he was. He always had a smile on his face and brought joy and smiles to many faces. He had so much love to give, never seeing the bad in people. Milo had so much to accomplish and so many plans for his future.

On June 6, 2025, at the young age of 19, Ismael left us with many precious memories. He was such a respectful, loving, caring, son, brother, Tio, nephew, cousin, grandson, friend, and CNA.

Ismael’s presence will surely be missed as he would say, “I am not the life of the party, I am the party”. Milo may have passed on, but his spirit will forever live in our hearts.

Milo is survived by his parents, Soledad and Gabriel Rios, his sisters, Viviana Rios, Catalina Rios, and Gabriella Rios, his brother Gabriel Rios, Jr., his nephews Omar, Ali Chavez, his nieces, Livia, Adalynn Rios and Arielle Rios, sister-in-law, Gabriella Juarez, brother-in-law Omar Chavez, his grandma and grandpa Martha Montano, Jose Velasco and Christiana Altamirano, his aunts Laura Velasco, Cristal Velasco, his uncles Jose A. Velasco, Javier Clark and Jose T. Rios, his cousins Adam Velasco, Jose Velasco, Andrew Velasco, Abraham Velasco, Joshua Velasco, D'Anthony Munoz, Aaliyah Munoz and Ali Munoz Jose Rios, and his loved one, Isaac Cesareo. He was preceded in death by his brother Hector, Gabriel Rios.
