James Chambliss

Graveside services for James Robert Bob Chambliss, 73 of Hobbs, will be Monday, June 11, 2012, 2:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens followed by a memorial service 3:00 p.m. at Jefferson Street Church of Christ with Minister Clay Martin officiating. Bob died June 9, 2012, in Hobbs. He was born November 19, 1938, in Brownfield, TX, to Robert and Edna Chambliss.

Bob married Oveta Peggram July 16, 1966, in Peterburg, TX. For thirtytwo years he was a salesman for Halliburton here in Hobbs. He was active in his church, Jefferson St. Church of Christ.

Surviving Bob is his wife of 45 years, Oveta Chambliss, of Hobbs a son, Dr. Paul Dean Chambliss, of New York, NY a daughter, Gail Lynn Chambliss, of Albuquerque and a sister, Bettie Green, of Turkey, TX.

Preceding him in death are his parents and a sister, Gracie Mae Hale.
