Janet Louise (Varner) Lopez

Janet Louise (Varner) Lopez was born May 9, 1960, in Hereford, TX. God called her home August 20, 2024. She was known as Lady J, J-Lo, Jama, Mom, and Aunt Janie to those closest to her. 

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Wilbert and Ruby Varner, her sisters, Deborah, Rhonda Sue, Vanetta Carol, and her brother, Kirk Varner. 

Survived in death by her sister, Judith Varner, her children, Demetrius Lopez and Victoria Hernandez, and grandchildren, Nevaeh, Christian, Nehemiah, Tyler, Jeremiah, Ja’Hannah, Mason, and Amarah. She is also survived in death by her nieces, Dakotah and Montanah, grand-nephews, Zachaih and Zekiel, and her nephew, Jordan. 

Janet was a dedicated worker, loyal to the Good Samaritan Village (turned Heartland Care) for thirty-plus years. Janet had the most genuine of hearts for her family and friends. She loved to bake, showing her love for others in baking all kinds of goods, ranging from Congo Cookies and cakes to cobblers.
