Jelene Epperson

Jelene Epperson was born May 06, 1927, in Olney Texas.  She passed away July 20, 2020 in Hobbs N.M.  She was raised in Olney and graduated from Olney High School in 1944.

Her parents C. C. and Arie Hammond moved to Hobbs in 1946.  She married the love of her life, Jack Epperson on December 21, 1957 in Roswell N.M.   He preceded her in death March 15, 2009, after 51 years of marriage.

She very much enjoyed reading, listening to gospel music, collecting dolls and angels.  She was a member of Bel Aire Baptist Church.

She was a kind and compassionate person of strong faith.  She will be remembered for her love of family and friends, her since of humor.  That kept us all entertained.   Most importantly, she had a strong relationship with Jesus and unwavering trust in Him that sustained her everyday of her life.
