Jerry Felts

Jerry Felts, 84, was born to Ray and Leah Felts in Drumright, OK on March 23, 1935. He passed away March 28, 2019 in Hobbs. Jerry graduated from Drumright High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma A & M University in 1957. He worked his entire career in the oil service industry with Conoco/Phillips, Stell's Sales and Service, Martin Meter Service and American Valve & Meter until he retired in 1999. He was a long time member of Taylor Street Church of Christ where he served as song leader for many years. Jerry loved model air planes and restoring old cars, antique car shows, was involved in the Roadrunner Antique Car Club and over the years restored multiple Mustangs, Thunderbirds, Model-T and Model-A cars.

Jerry is survived by his wife Kay Granby Felts of Hobbs and three sons, Timothy Wayne Felts and wife Kim of Tulsa, OK, Paul David Felts and wife Tammy of McKinney, TX and Stephen Ray Felts and wife Sandy of Wylie, TX. Three step-daughters, Debbie Owens and husband Trey of Visalia, CA, Dana Ankerholz and husband Chuck of Hobbs, and Donna Rutledge and husband Michael of Hobbs. Ten grandchildren, Jason Felts, Lauren Franklin, Sarah Ketner, Jeremy Felts, Leah Blackburn, Brandon Felts, Courtney Owens, Caitlin Owens, Britain Rutledge and Cambria Rutledge. Seven great-grandchildren, Parker Felts, Adalyn Ketner, Logan Felts, Gibson Felts, Shepherd Felts, Elena Felts and Jackson Blackburn. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ray Lester Felts and his sister Donna Jo Dickson.
