Jim Mcilroy

Jim McIlroy passed away Friday morning at Goodlife Memory Care Facility. Jimmie Carroll McIlroy was born to Lela and Marion McIlroy in Borger, Texas on March 22, 1933.

He graduated from Eunice High School and Abilene Christian College. He married Elane Gossage on August 24, 1957.

Jim is survived by his wife Elane McIlroy, daughters Margie and Melissa McIlroy, Odessa TX, Marty and Ann Lynn McIlroy, Roswell, NM, grandsons Logan McIlroy and Vickie, Jordan McIlroy, Kameran and Mariah McIlroy all of Hobbs, NM., great grandchildren Jaden McIlroy, Mason and Kinley Gray, Kennedy and Mila McIlroy and sister Jeanne Hayes.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lela and Marion McIlroy, brother Earl McIlroy, sisters Blanche Martyr, Fern Vincent and Joyce Gustafson.

Mr. McIlroy was the owner of McIlroy Service. He was a member of Taylor Street Church of Christ, served on the Advisory Board of Directors Abilene Christian University, member of Hobbs Rotary Club, President of Sanger Elementary PTA, Little League baseball coach, member of the Life Member National Rifle Association, Life Member of American Legion, served in the United States Army, Boone and Crockett Award Winner.
